Ascent Headcount — Apps
A streamlined tool for care staff to complete headcount rounds quickly, accurately, and securely.
How to install (Android)
If you see warnings about installing apps from unknown sources, follow the steps below. Exact wording may vary by device and Android version.

Tap Download Android APK above. When the download completes, open your Downloads app (or the download notification) and tap the APK.

When prompted, select Settings (or Allow from this source). Enable Install unknown apps for your browser (e.g., Chrome) just this once.

Return to the APK screen and tap Install. After installation, tap Open to launch Ascent Headcount.
Tips & troubleshooting
- If your device blocks the download, try a different browser (Chrome) or the device's Files/Downloads app.
- On some devices, go to Settings → Apps → Special access → Install unknown apps and enable your browser.
- If an older version is installed, uninstall it first, then install the new APK.
How to install (iOS)
⚠️ Important: Unlike Android, iOS does not allow direct IPA file installation. You must use an authorized distribution method.

Quick Overview: For most organizations, we recommend Apple Business Manager (for managed devices) or TestFlight (for quick testing). Both require Apple Developer Program enrollment.

Current Version: Head Count v1.0.1 (Build 42) is available via the distribution methods in the guide. Contact IT support for enrollment assistance.
